Data You Give Us Directly
Search Queries
A name or date of birth entered into one of the search tools on this site passes directly to the third-party provider operating that search. The provider processes the query and returns the results. We neither log nor retain the terms you type.
Messages and Contact Submissions
An email sent to us is retained so that we can answer it. Messages stay inside our team, and we will not pass one to anybody outside our organisation unless a legal obligation compels us to.
Data We Gather Automatically
Our servers record a few technical details each time a page on this site loads:
- Timestamps for each page view
- The IP address assigned to your device
- The referring site, where there is one
- Your device type and operating system
- Which pages you opened and how long you stayed on each
- Your browser and its version
Cookies and Analytics
Cookies are in use on this site. They are small files kept on your device that let us see how the site is used, which pages draw traffic, and where visitors tend to leave. Analytics services aggregate that traffic information for us. Cookies can be blocked at any time through your browser settings, though parts of the site may then behave differently.
What We Do With This Data
- Diagnosing and repairing technical faults
- Passing your search requests to the correct partner service
- Keeping the site available, stable, and quick to load
- Serving advertising that may match your interests
- Understanding which pages readers value and which need improvement
No Warrant Data on File
No database of warrants or personal warrant-record information is hosted, maintained, compiled, or sold here. What this site publishes is general guidance on where DeSoto County warrant records are held and how to check them through the Sheriff's Warrant and Fugitive Division, the Circuit, County, and Justice courts, and the five municipal courts in the county, since Mississippi operates no single public statewide warrant search. We are not a consumer reporting agency under the Fair Credit Reporting Act, and nothing gathered about visitors is assembled into consumer reports or into records about third parties.
Third-Party Search Partners
Outside companies power the search boxes on this site. Whatever you enter into one of those tools is handled under that partner's privacy policy rather than this one. Their retention and sharing practices are theirs to set and are outside our control, so read the partner's policy before submitting anything.
Links to Other Websites
Links across this site lead to DeSoto County Sheriff pages, Mississippi court portals, the Mississippi Electronic Courts system, state agency pages, and third-party search tools. Following any of them takes you off this site, at which point the destination's privacy policy governs your visit. Read it before sharing personal details.
Some advertising partners may follow your activity across sites in order to serve targeted ads. That tracking runs on their systems, not on ours.
Who Might See Your Data
Personal data is not sold. Some information may reach:
- Ad networks placing advertising on our pages
- Search partners handling queries run on our site
- Law enforcement or government bodies where a valid legal order requires it
- Analytics services measuring traffic and performance
How We Protect Your Data
Standard security practices are applied to the data we collect. Nothing connected to the internet is ever completely safe, however. We take reasonable steps to protect your information, but we cannot promise that a breach will never occur.
Users Under 18
Adults are the intended audience for this site. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. If you believe a minor has given us data, contact us and it will be deleted promptly.
Your Data Rights
Mississippi's principal records statute is the Mississippi Public Records Act of 1983, Miss. Code §§ 25-61-1 et seq., which governs access to records held by government agencies such as the Sheriff's Office and the county clerks rather than by a private site like this one. Depending on where you live, your own state's privacy and consumer-protection law may give you further rights over your data. At a minimum, you can:
- Opt out of certain kinds of data processing
- Ask for a copy of what we hold about you
- Ask us to delete your data
- Have inaccurate information corrected

This policy may change in future. Any revised version appears on this page carrying a new effective date, so check back if you want to follow how your information is handled.
